Day Off Tomorrow

Finally, after some lengthy weeks (and extensive hours), I finally have a day off. Although, if I could gripe about this, I'd like to have a whole week off, considering all the time I have sort of have lost due to losing one co-worker and training two others. If I had a whole week to myself, what would I do? I haven't thought that far ahead as far as time off. However, I do have somethings tomorrow planned namely:

  • Begin the first day of my training regimen (I know where I stand health-wise and I have set up some personal goals - more on that later).
  • See my mechanic (my car needs a new engine mount, transmission mount, air filter, and a new spark plug - nothing too demanding, I hope)
  • Spend time with my family (watch Pacific Rim, if it's still in theaters, or Elysium, since it was just released this weekend).
  • Have dinner with my dad (I miss that man).
  • Go on a hike with my best friend (he's been inviting me I feel bad for not going along - tomorrow, I'll make it up to him).
Of course, there some other things to do, like catch up on my YouTube channels, knock off a few items off my Netflix queue, and do some gaming/errands (not in that order), but they are not as important as the other things that I have mentioned earlier. Tomorrow's gonna be a great (but busy) Sunday.

Anime Expo 2013 - The Second Day!

This here vlog is from my second day at the Anime Expo. This time around, I'm accompanied by xXAnthonyBaelXx (a good friend and fellow vlogger) as we explore some of the things I have missed the first time around yesterday. Enjoy!

The Anime Expo of 2013

This year's Anime Expo (or AX13, in short) was my first experience. As I wrote in an earlier post, I had to spend the first day working a full shift, before I rushed over to make the most of what remained for that day's schedule. As a result, I had (at most), approximately a mere 2-day experience of the event (and as I wrote, I had paid for the full 4-Day experience). Nonetheless, I had much fun. It was an all-new experience for me (since it was my first time going to such an event), and I have to admit, it was all overwhelming. So many people, so many cosplayers, so much to see and so much to do!!! There wasn't enough time to do it all, but that's with anything fun and exciting. In reflection of Anime Expo, there are some things I would like to do differently next (here's hoping I can go all four days!!!):

  1. Approach more cosplayers - I saw some pretty awesome cosplayers (two of which are the thumbnails to my AX vlogs), but I was nervous to approach and ask for a photo or even record them for the vlogs. But I've learned that people want to be approached, just at reasonable moments. If they are eating, resting, on the phone, or heading over to a panel/meeting, it's not a good time. Other than that, it should be fine to approach them.
  2. Plan ahead - Half of my experience at AX13 was impetuous and impromptu. Not that it's a bad thing, but with proper planning, I can make the most of any given day.
  3. Attend an 18+ panel - This is dubious but necessary, in my opinion. There are certain panels/events exclusive to people over 18 ranging from karaoke and stand-up comedy, to speed-dating and dances, and to more adult content like watching erotic anime to learn Japanese (that was one of the events this year)!
  4. Have time off from work - I had originally planned for all four days off, but a co-worker took time off for a couple of days (it was the July 4th weekend) and another got fired, so I ended up picking all the extra hours, working more that what I should have worked regardless. Hopefully next year, nobody will ask for days off around the time of the Expo (or better yet, nobody gets fired!).

Anime Expo - The First Day!

So this is the first day of my time at Anime Expo 2013. Don't know why I couldn't find the video earlier. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to make this a separate post. Oh well...

Cheating is Fun! (Also, Kylie Minogue is involved!)

Gonna cheat again here }:-)

I saw a recent Bally Total Fitness commercial with this weird music. Then I remembered an older BTL commercial with this catchy tune.

Salad Fingers and Distributors!?!

As I went into work this past Sunday afternoon, I didn't think that my Acura's distributor would give out on me, but it did. A crummy ending to a crummy week. Not all that week was bad, but the ugliness of the week definitely took away the bright attraction of those good moments this week. So yeah, I must replace that distributor if I want to drive my car again.

Unfortunately, I had to miss classes today and it sucks - I don't want fall behind, not after I went to so much trouble to get back on track! Hopefully, I'm not too far behind. Regardless, some good, albeit in a weird way, did come out of today - I had the chance to do some bonding with my younger brother. He recommended that we watch Salad Fingers (the first episode down below). Words alone can't describe the insanity that is this show! Is it weird that I want to see more of this show?
